Matt Gibbons Counsel
Matt Gibbons is a former Marine Corps infantryman, an experienced litigator, and a Limited Partner at Holon Law. He works closely with individuals and small- to mid-sized businesses protect what they’ve built, and when necessary, reach out and get it back.
Matt has litigated cases or resolved claims in a variety of settings, but his work usually falls into four categories:
-
“fakes,” are claims such as infringement of intellectual property or false and defamatory claims about a client;
-
“frauds,” are claims involving misrepresentations or abuse of a position of trust;
-
“fairness,” may involve unfair competition and competitors violating laws, regulations, rules, or norms; and
-
“finances,” are claims such as civil theft or misappropriation of money.
He recognizes that his clients, whether victims or accused, may be facing some of their most stressful and disruptive challenges of their lives. He works diligently to help them navigate the situation by providing clarity, stability, and identifying potential paths forward. This looks different for different clients, in different situations—it might include a retrospective investigation, a demand for recompense, a lawsuit, or creation of a new internal policy. In all cases, Matt strives to be a strategic partner, helping clients asses risks, plan ahead, enforce rights, and achieve their goals.
As a combat veteran, Matt can relate to the high stakes his clients face and understands the value of clear communication. He applies his hard-earned skills and experience to advocating for his clients in and out of the courtroom.
